Gerald interviewed by PBS’ AMERICAN EXPERIENCE

On June 5th, Magic Words author Gerald Kolpan was interviewed on camera for the PBS historical documentary series, AMERICAN EXPERIENCE.

Gerald is also the author of Etta: A Novel (2009), the fictionalized account of the life and times of Etta Place, purported girlfriend of Harry Longbaugh, the famous western bandit known as the Sundance Kid, .

A crew from New York’s Ark Media interviewed Gerald for about three hours on the subject of Etta, Sundance and their boss, Butch Cassidy for an upcoming AMERICAN EXPERIENCE episode on Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. Gerald was asked about the individual lives of the infamous outlaws, the world they lived in, the end of the Wild West, and much more.

The documentary will air on AMERICAN EXPERIENCE sometime in the 2014 season. Watch this space for the date.
